Mercatale, despite having a large international community with homes on the nearby hillsides – including the luxury Castello di Reschio which hosts VIP guests from all over the world – has remained untouched by ‘trinket tourism’ and is completely unspoiled.
The property is situated 20 mins from Cortona, 20 mins from Umbertide and 20 mins from the lakeside towns of Lake Trasimeno: an ideal location for visits to all of Umbria and Tuscany’s most popular towns.
