For us, physical contact with our families is still a long way off as they live on another continent. Strict lockdown ended last week, but we skipped the first "unlocked" weekend as we did not know what to expect. On the second weekend we decided to venture out and visit  a typical bier café, a real treat in Amsterdam. This was our first venture out since March. The masses of tourists have not yet returned to Amsterdam so it was possible to walk in and get a seat, even with fewer tables so as to respect social distancing. We have not had a good draft Trappist beer for over three months. Such a pleasure. And as for relaxing in a room with strangers! This was something we had never considered to be a luxury before. People watching is such a fun past time not to be taken for granted again.
