Cortona International Internship
As school ended on the 10th June, students from the 3rd year in High school, search and start their internships to gain experience in the real working world.Cortona International was pleased to welcome Bianca Amerighi to do her internship with us for two weeks. So for two weeks we had two Bianca’s in the office - sometimes confusing but all good in the end!
Bianca is a student, studying at Liceo Giovanni Da Castiglione and has the aspirations to study Architecture at university once High school is finished in two years time.Bianca organised her internship herself and has put her hands in all aspects of estate agency work, from visiting houses, client visits and reviewing legal paperwork necessary for completing property sales.
Here are her thoughts on the work and internship:
‘I’m Bianca and for two weeks I have worked with Agenzia Immobiliare Cortonese. It was a great experience and I learnt many things such as the legal system required in this line of work. I have spent much time abroad with exchange programmes and working in this offices and field, I have realised how important English is for future careers and being in an office atmosphere for two weeks, listening and speaking to international clients, my understanding and speaking, has improved and feel even more confident to head to America later this summer on another exchange program. The clients that I have met, have been from various nations and all differ in character which has been a pleasure to experience and I have seen with my own eyes the different types of properties sold in the Cortona area of Tuscany. The best thing that I have appreciated while being here, is visiting the beautiful towns and places, especially the countryside with the pleasant views over Valdichiana. Seeing these places has made me rediscover my territory and how lucky I am to live in a place like this. I want to say thank you to the staff of the agency, they were very kind with me.”
Working with the ‘young’ Bianca for the last weeks, has reinvigorated the staff members of Cortona International and Agenzie Immobiliare Cortonese as we tried to impart our passion for our work, clients and our in depth knowledge to her, hoping to influence the next generation of estate agents.
