REMINDER: COUNCIL AND RUBBISH TAX 2020

With or without a pandemic we are still expected to pay our dues. Here is how you can do it from afar

REMINDER: Unfortunately, it's that time of year when final payment of council and rubbish taxes are due! Council taxes are applicable to everyone who owns a second home (i.e. non resident). Rubbish taxes are applicable to both residents and non-residents.

The Cortona tributary office is the best place to contact in order to find out what you owe for the current year for both IMU (council tax) and TARI, rubbish tax.

IMU is due by the 16th December 2020.

Rubbish tax: if you haven't paid the various installments throughout the year, it can be paid in one go (due by 01/12/2020); if you have paid the various installments, final payment for the last installment is due on 31/12/2020.

By emailing - even in English - to any one of the listed contacts you will be provided with the total amount owed as well as bank co-ordinates for making a direct wire transfer.

Make sure you specify on the wire transfer your name and the year i.e. Payment IMU e TARI Joe Bloggs 2020.
