The town is famous for its classical music concerts during the month of August and also its chestnut festival in the Autumn where the whole town meets up and parties.

It is just a quarter of an hour from the quaint town of Mercatale where one can find a choice of restaurants, shops, banks, a pharmacy etc… and also the prestigious Castello di Reschio estate which is a vast residential complex composed of restored farmhouses and a hotel (currently under construction) dedicated to top VIPS from all over the world.

Preggio is also just 20 minutes from the charming Medieval town of Umbertide – full of restaurants and shops - where there is access to all major motorways and trains to Perugia and Rome. Most conveniently of all, Preggio is just 40 minutes from the Perugia International airport.

Within a radius of 90 minutes one can visit the famous Umbrian sights of Assisi, Perugia, Gubbio, Spello, Citta’ di Castello etc...and the Tuscan towns of Sansepolcro, Anghiari, Cortona, Montepulciano, Pienza and Siena. Florence is 1hr 50 minutes away. Rome 3hours.
