The carnival is as important to the town as the horse Palio is to Siena. Foiano is located in the Val di Chiana and as such is in a central location, very practical as a base for traveling all over Italy. The Camucia train station is only a fifteen minute drive away, allowing for easy access to Italy’s biggest cities and airports relatively quickly and inexpensively.
